One of the best ways to discover Tasmania is by bike and on foot - get off the beaten track! Day 1 - Departing from Hobart we head north for Campbell Town. At St Mary's we will jump on the bikes and ride the pass down to sea level to stop for lunch at Scamander by the ocean. Boarding our bus, we head north to the southern end of the Bay of Fires Conservation Area to spend the afternoon relaxing with a beach walk and games. We then head back into St Helens for the evening via the township of Binalong Bay. Day 2 - Today we jump on the bikes again where you can ride the whole way (maximum 75km riding distance - most people do 30-40km). We then all meet for lunch in the fishing and surfing town of Bicheno. Either spend the rest of the day lazing beside the waterhole, or exploring the gorge at Douglas Apsley National Park. Visit a nearby wildlife park to feed the native animals and see a Tassie Devil! (optional). Overnight in Bicheno tonight. Day 3 - Today we can either ride or transfer to Coles Bay (40km). For those transferring, you can take an optional short kayak trip (own expense) around the waters edge whilst waiting for the cyclists. Then regoup and take a picnic lunch over to Wineglass Bay located in the Freycinet National Park, and sit on one of the world's top beaches. Transfer back to Hobart arriving in the early evening.
