Of all the rock sports, abseiling is probably the most exciting to watch, yet one of the easiest to learn. An exciting way to engage your team, learn a new skill and have fun!Abseiling is the technique used to descend cliffs or steep slopes in a controlled manner. The control is provided by using an adjustable friction device attached to a rope. This introduction to abseiling is designed for beginners with little or no previous experience. The courses will begin with a safety briefing covering familiarisation with important safety procedures, the fitting of equipment and use of hardware, correct skills and techniques. Once the safety briefing is complete the fun begins. The initial abseils in the practice area are short and easy, allowing you to become comfortable with the equipment and develop and work on you own style. As you progress throughout the session fun challenges and higher drops will be put before you.
