If a trip to the Middle East is out of the question, then you can still learn part of their dancing culture without leaving Western Australia! Experience 9 x 1 hour lessons in belly dancing as you learn the sensual flow and movement of your body with all that shimmies and shakes! Your belly dancing experience will take you on a dancing journey that will explore the basic concepts of belly dancing, movement patterns and musicality. With no previous dance experience required and with movements wonderfully suited to women, you will discover Middle Eastern belly dancing offers a unique way of moving, which is great for improving general fitness and flexibility. Each week your instructor will take you through a step by step process to discovery. Each class is one hour in duration and the course runs for 9 weeks. The class is structured to take into account different body shapes, ages, abilities and experience. We begin each class with simple step patterns to warm the body and then work through dance technique for each movement. The dance movements are then combined into simple patterns or routines which build over the term to create a fun choreography. The class concludes with a cool down and stretch. All instructors follow safe dance practices and principles and focus on ensuring participants are learning in a fun and supportive environment. Over time you may start to notice changes as you improve your posture, flexibility and co-ordination, as well as build your concentration, confidence and self-esteem
