Want to let your team experience one of the funniest team building activities? If yes, then this corporate event could be the answer!
Your group will be sorted into teams, or'families?, comprising of between 5 - 10 members. Any number of people can participate, but since the main competition is between only two teams, a series of elimination rounds is carried out to select the final pair of competing teams. The more diverse the teams, the funnier the guesses, and the greater the benefit in terms of improved relationships.
All teams are presented with a survey item such as: 'What items would you take to the beach?' For extra interest, company-specific questions can be devised. This encourages collaboration and reveals the intriguing opinions staff hold about their organisation and its people.
The survey items will all have been used in surveys carried out among staff prior to the event. At least 100 answers are collected, and enough to generate at least six different responses. The teams have to guess the'highest likelihood? answers, i.e. those given by the greatest number of people. This is an exercise which provides a fascinating insight into where company consensus really lies.
Elimination rounds can be played in quick succession to achieve the two'family? finalists. Once it's down to two teams, one member of each'family? comes forward to buzz for the right to answer on each survey item. The person with the fastest finger on the buzzer can guess first, and the opposing team guesses next. Whoever guesses the highest likelihood answer wins control of that round, and successive members of their family then suggest answers. After an incorrect answer the classic UHHH-OHHH buzzer rasps, and after three incorrect answers control passes to the other team.
For each correct answer the teams win family feud cash corresponding to the number of people who gave the answer they guessed. The first team to accrue $500 is the winner.
